Who we are

Joan

I am retired and am a single parent. Before I retired, I was a teacher amongst other jobs, and have an active interest in reading, writing and poetry. I also enjoy both hand and machine sewing. I joined the dynamos because I felt I could bring my wide experience to help the community, and make it a better place for everyone.

Mark

I am a keen photographer and suffer with multiple health-related disabilities. I have been homeless with experience of living on the streets and in shelters, as well as volunteering for local homeless charities. I joined the dynamos to help rectify social injustices with those experiencing mental health issues and homelessness.

Steve

I am a Reverend who used to work in the security services but gave it up to become a carer to family members with both mental and physical disabilities. I have experience with psychological trauma, poverty and homelessness. I am a keen DIYer and I joined the dynamos to help the community be a better place to live.

Lorraine

I am a former office worker and part time soldier. I spent 2 years homeless after suffering from a breakdown. After I got back on my feet, I worked with people with experience of mental health and homelessness. I enjoy knitting, walking and tai chi and I joined the dynamos to make a difference with likeminded people.

Su

I am a mum to 3 boys, and have lived in the area for 3 years and discovered Kingsley Hall when I first moved as I didn’t know anyone. I currently work part-time and am developing a social enterprise making and selling organic and handmade sanitisers and spritzers.
